Identity. Embroidery set

In the world where traditional symbols are not so obvious, craft can help us to include significant elements into our eweryday life. For me it is about creating the afterimages of those symbols, to signalize who we are and where we are from. The „Identity. Embroidery set” includes my native belorusian embroidery symbol of harvest- the key symbol of ancient times. But it is not embroidery as its classical meaning- it is mostly an interpretation of its sign from my modern point of view. Made of leather and brass- also are traditional materials for ancient times and so popular today. I took an afterimage of traditional sybmols to transform it into old-new symbols of my own identity. I am trying to revive tradition according to perception of modern aesthetic.
